Appositive Phrases

An appositive is a noun or pronoun that follows another noun or pronoun to identify or explain it.  Look at this example:

Samantha, a fourth grade student, did a great job on the state writing test.

In this sentence, the appositive phrase is "a fourth grade student."

     2.  Study science review worksheet.
     3.  Math Miss W:  no homework.
                   Mr. Spaulding:  RW99.
     4.  Read for half an hour.
     5.  Get parent initials.
